About SathiyanCloud
SathiyanCloud is a small learning initiative with one north star: help students move from classroom theory to cloud-era practice in a way that is clear, ethical, and genuinely useful on the job market.
I’m Sathiyan, a Cloud & DevOps engineer. I come from a non‑CS background and found my way into IT through self‑study, relentless practice, and mentors who helped me choose a sane learning path when everything online claimed to be “the only roadmap.”
If you’ve felt that mix of curiosity and overwhelm—too many tools, too many opinions—this site is written for you.
What “Classroom to Cloud” means
It is not a slogan about speed. It is about continuity:
- from lecture concepts to commands you can run
- from buzzwords to roles that actually hire
- from isolated tutorials to stories about how teams ship
The focus is especially strong for students from colleges with limited industry exposure, where the gap between syllabus and interview can feel unbridgeable.
What this is (and is not)
This is not a promise of shortcuts, guaranteed jobs, or hype-driven tool chasing.
This is a place for:
- strong fundamentals (Linux, networking, automation mindset)
- hands-on labs you can repeat on modest hardware
- career context explained in plain language
- patience: learning in IT is a long game
Language & sessions
Sessions can be conducted in Tamil or English, depending on what helps students think clearly. The goal is understanding—not performance.
Still learning
I’m still learning too; in IT, that never really stops. My role here is to simplify, guide practice, and share what real projects taught me—not to pose as someone who knows everything.
